With the feature of maintenance-free and super high-rate discharge,the nickel-cadmium rectangular sealed alkaline storage battery is composed of sintered nickel positive electrodes and pasted cadmium negative electrodes,adopting the separators with excellent permeability in between,that being assembled in a plastic case.The solution of potassium hydroxide is absorbed in the separators and the electrodes.
The battery is compacted and characterized by low internal resistance,excellent low temperature performance and long service life,no requirement of additional water and electrolyte during operation without corrosive gases being released.The instantaneous discharge rate of the battery is so high that it is able to be used as D.C.power sources for high voltage switch tripping and other similar purposes.
